JACK 96.9 and YVR present Science World’s “Maker Break” Event

When school is out, Maker Break, presented by Vancouver International Airport (YVR), starts.  This spring break, Science World is inviting visitors to bring their imagination, a whole lot of creativity and an enthusiasm for making things.   On now thru March 26, Science World will offer up opportunities to participate in activities and programs that celebrate creativity and innovation.

The Tinkering Space will have kids and adults alike tackling a variety of challenges that combine science, art and technology. In addition to all the hands-on activities planned for the 2 weeks of spring break, there will also be guest Makers ready and willing to chat with visitors. Be sure to take in a performance by Fizzical Fizzicks. This quirky and highly entertaining show merges circus skills with science concepts. Both hilarity and chaos ensue during the interactive and action-packed show.

Take a break from the activities and discover the innovators who are creating better lives for people and a more sustainable future for us all, in our latest OMNIMAX film, Dream Big.

Maker Break, presented by YVR, will challenge you to think outside the box and spark your curiosity about Canadian innovation. It’s the perfect introduction to Science World’s feature exhibition, Made in Canada — Inspiring Creativity and Innovation that will premier in late April.
