What a night it was for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 this past Saturday night at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

This years class was stacked with talent including Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Eminem, Carly Simon, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, and Pat Benatar. There were so many memorable moments we wanted to catch you up incase you missed anything so here we go!

For the second time in 2022, Eurythmics reunite

They were originally up for induction in 2017, the Eurythmics finally get their due and are inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart reunited for the second time this year to perform (The pair were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June).

Watch them perform “Would I Lie To You,” “Missionary Man” and “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” below.

Dr. Dre inducts Eminem

Eminem had an eventful night. It started with him performing with Ed Sheeran and Steven Tyler before being inducted by his mentor Dr. Dre. Dre spoke about how his team pushed back on signing Eminem at first, but Dre believed and saw something in him. “I knew that his gifts were undeniable,” Dr Dre. said. “Each of us were exactly what the other one needed—and I was willing to bet my entire career on that.”

Dave Grohl and Lionel Richie make it look “Easy”

Speaking of cool collaborations at the Rock Hall party, Dave Grohl jumped onstage to play guitar with Lionel Richie … this is why you should always go to shows in LA, you never know what you’ll see.

Dolly Parton & her all-star cast!

Ok, go back in time to 1986, find your teenage self and tell them that one day Rob Halford will jam with Dolly Parton and see the reaction you get. But it’s true and it was awesome! Actually Dolly was joined onstage by P!NK, Sheryl Crow, Zac Brown Band, Duran Duran,  Annie Lennox, Pat Benatar & Brandi Carlile.

Judas Priest inducted with the “Musical Excellence Award”

Alice Cooper was on hand to induct Judas Priest into the Rock Hall. Priest, which reunited with original guitarist K.K. Dowling for the night and a killer performance accepted with singer Rob Halford saying “I’m the gay guy in the band. We call ourselves the heavy metal community which is all-inclusive, no matter what your sexual identity is, what you look like, or what you believe in or don’t believe in. Everybody’s welcome.”

Duran Duran get their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

From what we heard Duranies were out in full force on Saturday night. Duran Duran t-shirts outnumbered every other act by at least 10:1. Duran Duran opened the show which didn’t get off to the best start for the band … something happened with their original mix leaving only the vocals being audible for the first30 seconds or so before they stopped and restarted. Simon Le Bon joked “It’s just to prove to you that we weren’t lip-synching!”

The group performed a medley of ‘Girls on Film,’ ‘Hungry Like the Wolf’ and ‘Ordinary World.’

The absence of Andy Taylor was addressed during their acceptance speech, when Le Bon read a message from guitarist Andy Taylor announcing that he was not present because he has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. We’re all wishing Andy Taylor well after getting this sad news.

Afterwards in the press room, Simon Le Bon followed up, “It is devastating news to find out that a colleague… not a colleague — a friend, one of our family — is not gonna be around for very long. It is absolutely devastating. We love Andy dearly. I’m not gonna stand here and cry or anything, that would be inappropriate, but that’s what I feel like.”

Pat Benatar finally inducted

Pat Benatar has been up for induction for the better part of this century but wouldn’t accept until she could be inducted alongside husband Neil Giraldo. The couple was at long last inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and celebrated with a three-song set including favorites, “All Fired Up,” “Love is a Battlefield” and “Heartbreaker,” They swore off playing “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” years ago and still refuse to play it.
