The spirit of Freddie Mercury lives on!

Queen are set to share a previously unreleased track with Freddie Mercury this week called “Face It Alone”.

There have been a series of billboards teasing the song that read: “Queen – Face It Alone” with a picture of Freddie Mercury and a QR code. These signs popped up all around the world including Canada so now we know!

“We did find a little gem from Freddie, that we’d kind of forgotten about,” drummer Roger Taylor told BBC Radio 2. “And it was. It’s wonderful. Actually, it was a real discovery.”

Imagine being able to get one more song from your favourite band, or even one more episode of your all-time favourite TV show. This is going to be a real treat for Queen fans. This isn’t the first new song featuring the late Freddie Mercury though, in 2014, Brian May and Roger Taylor released the Queen Forever compilation featured the Michael Jackson/Freddie Mercury duet “There Must Be More to Life Than This.”

Freddie is still one of rock’s greatest voices and a persona that will outlive time. We can’t wait to hear this new song on Thursday.
