All the BEST songs from your favourite John Hughes movies like Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Breakfast Club, and more are back!

Before there was TikTok giving bands exposure to brand new audiences, there was John Hughes. In the 80s John Hughes movies were the music influencers, introducing people to bands like Simple Minds, New Order, OMD, The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, Oingo Boingo, The Psychedelic Furs, and more.

All these songs that helped influence a generation are now available on one nostalgic boxed set Life Moves Pretty Fast: The John Hughes Mixtapes which will be available this November featuring music from the movies he directed and wrote between 1983 – 1989 including Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Planes, Trains And Automobiles, She’s Having A Baby, The Great Outdoors, and Uncle Buck.

You can get a limited edition deluxe edition with 4CD’s that comes in a larger display box with a 14-track cassette and re-issue of the 7” single ‘Beat City’ / ‘I’m Afraid’, that was originally sent out to the John Hughes fan club mailing list with the release of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. There is a standard 4CD set which will not include any of the the extras the deluxe edition delivers PLUS there will be a special 73-track red vinyl 6LP box set or a 2LP black vinyl edition. Both the limited edition deluxe cd edition and limited edition red vinyl collection have a booklet with memories from Matthew Broderick, James Hughes, and Tarquin Gotch along with track by track sleeve notes.
