Max Headroom made his debut in April, 1985. We got his origin story on a  British-made cyberpunk TV movie Max Headroom called ’20 Minutes into the Future’. Since then, he’s remained a cultural icon. He’s appeared in movies, TV shows, music videos – including Eminem’s “Rap God”. Even Back To The Future Part II predicted he’d be a part of our pop culture fabric in the 2000’s.

Max Headroom is set for a comeback with a new series being produced for AMC. It’s said to be an ’80s sci-fi series about the world’s “first computer-generated TV presenter” which will be produced by Elijah Wood and Noah Young.

The TWO best pieces of news are that original star Matt Frewer will return the role of Max Headroom he made popular in the 80s, and that New Coke will NOT be making a comeback.

We’ll share more details as we get them.
