Is Top Gun Maverick better than the original?

Top Gun Maverick finally took off in theatres this weekend after being delayed multiple times due to COVID and the reviews are pouring in singing its praises. This movie was made for the big screen, and from what we’ve heard, the bigger the screen the better. It’s sitting with a 96% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes. So we’d love to hear from you, is Top Gun Maverick better than the original?
