It’s always around this time of year Betty White starts trending on social media. We all log into our favourite accounts, see her name trending and our hearts start pounding, fearing the worst, only to find out that this American icon is only a year closer to being 100 years old.

Sadly this time, it is the worst. TV great and Golden Girl Betty White passed away on December 31, 2021 just three weeks shy of turning 100. She left us with so many memories and so many laughs. She is an icon who will be truly missed by so many.

Thank you for the laughs Betty. RIP.
