Monolith’s have become all the rage the last month and a half. What started as fear that aliens were about to take over the planet as the crescendo to 2020, has now tuned into laughter and a great selfie opportunity.

This week a mysterious Monolith appeared on Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver. We know this Monolith isn’t the nicest looking of all the Monolith’s that have appeared around the globe, it has a very “Michael’s” feel to it … but this is what makes this one so special and unique.

It’s won’t be long before it ends up on Craigslist as a two bedroom and will rent for three grand a month … but where did it come from? Drex, Lena & No Fun Bobby have found the source!

This Monolith captured the imagination of Vancouver-ites and the internet … partly because we’re curious by nature, but mostly because we’re happy to be included in the alien’s plans (no one wants to be left out). Pretty soon after landing, the photos starting filling our feed and everyone took notice …

But where did the Kitsilano Beach Monolith come from JACK, you said you knew?

We’re getting to that …

Turns out we after translating the Klingon writing ‘DoJ’ on the Monolith, it was us that put it there after all.

Drex on JACK:  “We built one of those fancy silver monoliths at Kits beach to welcome our new morning show, Drex on Jack… And people all over the city just…they just love it”…?

Check out our new morning show weekday mornings from 5 to 9 … we promise it will be slightly less embarrassing than that monolith … probably … maybe not …
