Singer/songwriter Bob Dylan has won the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, making him the first songwriter to win the award!

Noted for his poetic lyrics, Dylan received the recognition “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”.

Sara Danius, permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy said, “For 54 years now he’s been at it reinventing himself, constantly creating a new identity,” and he has been long thought of as a deserving recipient.

Obviously still going strong at 75, Bob Dylan is set to play in Las Vegas later today.
