The future is here.. or it’s coming, or something. Computers produce so much in the world already, cars, coffee, caravans (probably) and now, popular music.

Scientists at Sony’s CSL research lab have produced a song written by artificial intelligence that sounds like something the Beatles could have written. Their software analyzes the musical styles of composers from their enormous music database, then “[exploits] unique combinations of style transfer, optimization, and interaction techniques” to create a new tune from the data collected.

There is a little bit of human interference. A composer does some mixing and lyric writing to pull it all together.

Have a listen to the song then the real deal below, and then scream, “WE’RE DOOMED!” to anyone who’ll listen. Most likely your cat or other caged animal.
