After more than 50 years, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are hitting the road one last time.

The tour, originally called “The Runway Train” was renamed as “The Travelin’ Man” in honour of his classic 1975 song by the same name.

Travelin’ Man kicks off Nov. 12 in Michigan and is slated to wrap up in May.

Seger will be playing in more than 30 cities across the U.S., but not to worry, more shows are expected to be added in the next few weeks including one in Vancouver!

The 73-year-old hasn’t said why he is retiring but people took it online to express their shock to the news, including former NBA champion Mychal Thompson:
