Elton John was set to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday May 18 and Saturday May 19, but has cancelled those shows in order to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding at the St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. It’s not yet known whether the 5-time GRAMMY Award winner will sing at the reception, or if he will simply attend as a guest.

Elton said in an interview, with regard to attending Prince Harry’s wedding, “It will be nice because I love him very dearly.”

The chart-topper was close to Harry’s mother Princess Diana, and sang “Candle in the Wind” at her funeral in 1997.
