Is this just me?

Because of Hollywood movies when I close my eyes and try to picture certain musicians, I see the actors who play them and NOT the actual musician…

For Example:

When I think of Jim Morrison I picture Val Kilmer in the movie “The Doors”
When I think of Johnny Cash I picture Joaquin Phoenix in the classic “Walk The Line”
When I think of Jerry Lee Lewis I picture Denis Quad killing it in “Great Balls Of Fire”
When I think of Ritchie Valens I picture Lou Diamond Philips in “Lobamba”
When I think of Ray Charles I picture Jamie Foxx cool as hell in “Ray”

But when It comes to Elvis…I picture only Elvis. Several Elvis Presley biopics have been made since his death in 1977 but no one has really taken the King’s persona and warped my mind into believing.

2 questions… When you picture Elvis in your mind, do you remember the 1950’s Hip swinging version, or the 1970’s Jump suit Elvis?

For me, it’s the Elvis Presley that appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time in 1956.

And 2nd question If you had to cast a current Hollywood star to play the King who would you cast?

Love your face!
