“Long Time Running” will be a documentary on The Tragically Hip “Man Machine Poem Tour”, and it’s set to be released this Fall!

We had our very first look at The Tragically Hip documentary at the beginning of June. It was a short video of frontman Gord Downie discussing how he felt learning of his diagnosis, describing how rough rehearsals were, and what it was like to complete the Canada-wide 2016 “Man Machine Poem Tour”.

It was a bit gut wrenching hearing him speak so candidly about the experience.

This trailer, on the other hand, takes a different approach and has a noticeably different feeling. You hear Gord Downie say “It was just a dream. It was the best I’ve ever felt on stage. I wanted the shows to go on forever.” And other than that, you mostly get the perspective from other bandmates and their thoughts on the tour.

The film, described as, “Strong. Together. Canadian.” is expected to broadcast this coming Fall.
