Prince, without a doubt, touched multiple generations with his music, and his passing remains a tough pill to swallow, even 9 months later.

Although there’s been many tributes published by other famous artists, this 11 year old playing ‘Purple Rain’ on his guitar, takes the cake!

Toby Lee – Prince Tribute

Toby Lee is the name of this small, but masterful fellow. He’s just 11 years old, but has already been playing the guitar for the better part of his life. He’s been acknowledged by some pretty heavy hitters in the music realm, like Joe Bonamassa, and received over 50 million+ views on his ‘get well jam for BB King’.

He opens by bluntly asking, “Why are we losing all our heroes?” – what with 2016 proving to be absolutely devastating on the music community.

All you’ll see is Toby Lee playing over a drum track of Prince’s hit ‘Purple Rain’, but instead of simply playing the song note for note, he gets creative and shreds it!

Take a look (and at least let it go to 2:30):

This multi-talented little dude is currently playing the role of ‘Zack Mooneyham’ in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End show, School of Rock the Musical.

Keep your eyes on Toby Lee; he’ll be a bright bright star one day soon!
