The late Tragically Hip frontman, Gord, Downie, was honoured at the 2018 JUNO Awards in an emotional celebration of his work and spirit.

Singers Kevin Drew and Pearl Wenjack opened the tribute, saying that “Gord Downie was given a Native name, and his name was The Man Who Walks Among the Stars and with that name, that’s what he is now today”.

Barenaked Ladies’ Kevin Hearn and Sarah Harmer performed “Introduce Yerself” from Gord Downie’s last solo album, released posthumously in 2017. Then City & Colour’s Dallas Green joined Sarah Harmer and performed an acoustic cover of “Bobcaygeon”.
