Sarah McLachlan, Alan Doyle, Jim Cuddy and more came together to support a dear friend– John Mann, singer for Spirit of the West.

Canadian Musicians

 

Nearly 50 of Canada’s most musically talented got together in Vancouver, Canada to help John Mann from Spirit of the West who has Early-onset Alzheimer’s. The musicians rallied with the idea of covering Spirit of the West’s hit  “Home For A Rest” and a goal of raising 30 thousand dollars for John’s continuing care.

A make-shift studio was created at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver and they got to putting together this rendition called “Spirit of Canada – Home For A Rest”.

This special recording of “Home For A Rest” was performed by the following Canadian musicians: Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, Sarah McLachlan, Alan Doyle, Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, Spirit Kids Barney & Dustin Bentall, Colin James, Craig Northey and The Odds, Shari Ulrich, Jim Byrne,s Kendel Carson, Daniel Lapp, Spirit of the West with Cory Tetford, Shehab Illyas & Kris MacFarlane.
