Choir! Choir! Choir!, known for organizing large-scale singalong events, held a massive tribute to The Tragically Hip’s frontman, Gord Downie, who passed away from an incurable brain tumour on October 17th, 2017. Participants didn’t need to have any experience reading music, but simply be ready to sing their hearts out. The group of over one thousand people sang hits like, “Ahead by a Century,” “Bobcaygeon” and “Courage”.

Take a listen!

Before the event kicked off, Gord Downie’s brother Mike Downie encouraged the crowd, saying “Gord would have loved this.”

Fans were asked to bring a minimum $5.00 donation for the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund.
