Sportsnet has confirmed this morning that the Canucks have picked a new head coach!

 

 

Let’s get to know him, shall we?

Travis Green is currently the coach of the Utica Comets, Vancouver’s farm team.

In 1989, he was drafted 23rd overall in the NHL Draft and played for five different teams during his career, including playing with current Canucks GM Trevor Linden on the 1997-98 New York Islanders:

What else? Well, he’s a BC boy, originally from Castlegar!

AND….AND……He’s won $345,000 in poker tournaments, including the World Series of Poker!
